Room Assignments

Room in Adelaide Hall

Queen’s Residences offers a diverse range of living environments to meet a variety of student lifestyles. Our residences range from small buildings housing 68 students to larger halls with nearly 800 students, and are located both on main and west campus.

Rooms are assigned based on a series of lotteries that are run after applications are received.  These lotteries separately assign different groups including identified Scholarship recipients, Indigenous students and Athletic guarantees, health and other accommodations, Living Learning Communities specific room types and shared room requests with preferred roommates.  The lotteries randomly assign students based on their individual preferences and priority groups.  Room assignments may be to a single, single plus, double, loft double, triple or quad room.
