ResRules Categories – Respectful Behaviour
What are ResRules related to Respectful Behaviour?
As residence is a shared space, it is important that every member of our community behaves in a respectful way towards others in the community. This involves not just common courtesy (not making noise at inappropriate times, respecting property and so on), but also demonstrating respect for other people’s culture, beliefs and practices, and avoiding behavior that could be hurtful, harmful or offensive.
When disrespectful behaviour happens on several occasions, it shows that the resident has not learned from previous attempts to address that behaviour, and different measures must be taken. This is called a “Progression of Offenses.” Three or more level one offenses constitutes a level two offense, and three or more level one offenses and two or more level two offenses constitutes a level three offense.
